HUMA SAYS IT IS IMPORTANT TO DABBLE IN A VARIETY OF GENRES
Be it Mohsina in the Gangs of Wasseypur series, Zoya Rehman in D-Day (2013), Jhimli in Badlapur (2015) or Pushpa Pandey in Jolly LLB 2 (2017), actor Huma Qureshi has time and again impressed the audience with her performances. “I believe I’ve grown as an actor because that happens with practice and experience. As a person, I’m a lot calmer and take every release Friday as it comes,” says Huma.
She feels that as an actor it’s important to dabble in a variety of genres. “That helps you get better with your craft. It has never been a conscious decision to gravitate towards these roles. For me, it’s the script and the filmmaker that are deciding factors,” she says.
Huma, who had earlier worked with Gurinder Chadha in Viceroy’s House that released last year, reportedly will collaborate with the director for a TV series set in India. She will play the role of an Indian princess in it.
