Not many know that actor Vivian Dsena also loves to paint, a hobby that began in school, which now, he says, helps him unwind. Vivian shares, “We had art as a subject in the military school in Nashik, where I studied. It was [an] important [subject] because it affected the overall percentage [of your performance in class]. We learned modern art, abstract art and semi-abstract art, etc. I am an abstract and semi-abstract artist, I do landscapes.”

The actor says that he loves to do warm and cold combinations. “If you see my paintings, you [will be able] see the exact balance of warm and cold colours. In between, I got a little busy with my studies and work but I have started painting again after 16 years,” says the TV actor, known for his shows such as Kasamh Se, Agnipareeksha

Gangaa, and Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. Talking about his recent works, Vivian, says, “I am now working on a landscape... Before that, I did a hummingbird and a butterfly. The thought behind them was that I wanted to do something colourful. It gets me into the mood. I realise that painting relaxes my mind,” he adds.

Ask him about his favourite actor Salman Khan, who is also into painting and Vivian says, “I’m aware of his flair for painting. Painting is a creative outlet for me and I’m enjoying every bit of it.”

On whether he plans to make any special paintings for friends, the actor adds, “I am a very private person and I haven’t thought of making it for anyone specifically. But I can make some painting for close friends.”
