More singles in the offing for Plabita Borthakur the singer
After her last single Fitoori, composed by Kingshuk Chakravarty, received a warm welcome from fans and music lovers, Plabita Borthakur might be releasing more singles soon.
“I just love singing. Our band Manu and Chow does gigs whenever we have time. We create our own tracks and have released a few online. The response has always been good, and that, kind of, drives us,” the Lipstick under My Burkha (2016) actor says.
After Fitoori, we have been working on a few singles. Right now, I am busy with my film commitments. Once that gets over, we will start releasing them. Also, the delay (in releasing new songs) is because I am a little lazy and don’t enjoy doing too many things at the same time,” adds the actor, who has also written a few songs. Plabita is currently busy with her next that also stars Kaalakaandi star Akshay Oberoi. Would she like to do playback for films as well? “Depends on the kind of offers I get,” she replies.
Balancing her acting and singing careers is what is foremost on Plabita’s mind currently. She was seen in an episode of the youth-oriented show Big F, and a web series called What’s Your Status, but she is not really keen on projects on the small screen right now. “TV requires a lot of commitments and dates, and right now I don’t have that much time. Films, web shows and music aren’t that time consuming. So if I get anything interesting on TV and I am not required for a longer period of time I can do it,” she signs off.
