Actor Warina Hussain, who recently debuted with LoveYatri, switched many professions before it.

“I never thought I would become an actor. I wanted to become a fashion designer, and had come to Delhi from Afghanistan to complete my class 11 and 12. I have grown up travelling to different countries, and never stayed in Afghanistan, you know how things are back home,” says Warina.

“Most of my education was via home schooling. Post that, I wanted to do fashion designing, which didn’t happen for various reasons. I, then decided to take up a job , and went to a small boutique in Greater Kailash. They wanted a salesgirl. I left within a month; it didn’t turn out to be good. I had thought I might learn something about fashion designing from it, but it didn’t happen,” she shares.

Further, Warina reveals why acting was always in her mind. She says, “I got my portfolio made from a small studio in Malviya Nagar. When I was very young, a producer had approached my mom. They might have wanted some kid who was ugly-looking and overconfident with the front tooth missing. That was me. My mom said ‘no’. So that (acting) was there in the back of my mind.”

However, she doesn’t want to limit herself to just acting. “I have always been creative with my arts. I loved taking pictures and videos in school, and especially editing them. There is also a director’s streak in me!” she signs off.
