When one discovers one’s true calling, he or she follows it with all their heart. TV actor Sara Khan, too, is following her’s. Taking a break from acting on the small screen, Sara now wants to concentrate on a career in music.

Earlier, she had recorded a song in collaboration with singer Stebin Ben, which was well-received. The actor shares that the song helped her understand the pulse of the audience. Now, Sara is working on a new single, Black-hearted, which is being sung and produced by her, and set to release soon.

“This is like my formal release. So, I’m very excited about it. The song is inspired from my own life experiences, and that makes it all the more special. I did not pen the lyrics, but it was done under my guidance. I have already recorded it and shot for the video. The lyrics are a mix of Hindi and Punjabi, and I hope everyone enjoys it,” says Sara.

Talking about her acting plans, Sara, who was last seen in the TV show, Woh Apna Sa, has not signed any new project, though she has been getting a lot of offers. “I enjoy acting and the opportunities that I have been getting are good enough. It’s just that I have realised that music is my true calling and I want to pursue it further,” says the actor, adding that she loves to sing and learn new numbers.

“I do have a number of songs ready and I want to start releasing them one by one. I hope the way I had been accepted as an actor, I will be able to reach out to my fans through my music, too. At the moment, I am not keen on taking any acting project unless it’s too compelling and concentrate on my singing career,” she concludes.
