Trailer of upcoming love saga, Kedarnath, goes live today

-

After the teaser, and the first song of Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, ‘Namo namo’, received positive reviews from audiences, the film-makers are now all set to unveil the trailer of the romantic drama today.

Kedarnath is an eternal love story set in the backdrop of the flash floods that wrecked the temple town, of the same name in Uttarakhand in June 2013. The film promises to be a potent combination of love, religion, passion and spirituality. It also marks the debut of actor Sara Ali Khan and promises a refreshing chemistry between her and her co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput.

“At a time in Indian cinema where there seems to be a dearth of original and relatable love stories, Kedarnath is a breath of fresh air. It is a ‘Titanic love story’ set against the backdrop of one of the biggest natural disasters in India. Abhishek Kapoor has created magic along with the lead pair of Sushant, and Sara who he introduces in this film. I can’t wait to bring this epic tale to audiences on December 7,” says producer Ronnie Screwvala.

Audiences have seen and praised the real locations and beautiful scenery of Kedarnath, Uttarakhand, that have been portrayed in the film, and the chemistry between Sara and Sushant.

Kedarnath also marks the second-time association of Abhishek Kapoor with Ronnie Screwvala and Sushant Singh Rajput after the 2013-hit, Kai Po Che! “Kedarnath is an epic tale of love set against an ancient landscape. The film draws in the viewer’s attention towards the powerful message conveyed. The cast and crew have been fervent believers; the integrity of their efforts resonates in every frame. As a film-maker, I have always been drawn to challenges beyond entertainment. Pushing boundaries takes you beyond the clutter; that’s my comfort zone or as I’d like to term it,‘my sweet spot’. Making the film has been a personal pilgrimage for me,” says director Abhishek Kapoor.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Pragya Kapoor’s Guy In the Sky Pictures, Kedarnath is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and is slated to release on December 7.
