Sanya’s proud mum takes pals to watch Badhaai Ho, again
Actor Sanya Malhotra has had a great 2018, with Badhaai Ho being her second hit film after Dangal (2016). She also starred in Pataakha, helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj, for which she earned critical acclaim.
Sanya is a Delhi girl, who went to Mumbai to pursue her passion and give advertisement and movie auditions a chance. So when she played a Delhi girl for the first time in Badhaai Ho, it was her parents who were the most ecstatic. Sanya’s mother, we got to know, took her friends for a screening of the actor’s film. A source tells us, “Sanya’s mother loved the movie and more so because she plays a Delhi girl on big screen. The movie is a sleeper hit success and Sanya’s parents’ joy know no bounds. On the occasion of the film’s run at the box office for straight 50 days, Sanya’s mother decided to take her friends out to watch her daughter on the big screen again, over the weekend. The proud mother couldn’t help but show off her daughter in front of her friends. Sanya’s parents are on cloud nine as this is her second film to cross over ₹100 crore and that too so early in her career.” Sanya will next be seen in the film Photograph opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui, in which she plays a middleclass girl. Ritesh Batra will helm this project.
