She triggered the #MeToo movement in India, and having helped create dialogue where there was close to none for addressing sexual harassment at workplaces. And now, actor Tanushree Dutta is looking forward to her life back in the US. She shares that her life in the States is not going to change because of the whole movement.

“I am anticipating a very normal life. My friends would remain the same. They were worried about whether I was doing fine or not when they came to know about it (the #MeToo debate),” she says.

“I want to [enrol in] advanced swimming classes. I will also take up driving as it is very important if you live in the US. I always end up taking accommodation which is easily accessible but I want a spaced out place to live in the suburbs and for that I have to learn how to drive,” Tanushree says.

Talking about her life in the US, the former beauty queen says she does a lot of freelance work, which gives her ample time to pursue other interests and hobbies. “I do events. I tie up with brands and companies and promote them because of my profile as a Miss India and former Bollywood actor. A couple of weekends in the month I have events and the rest of the time, I swim, spend some time with my friends. My social life is not as active as it is in India, but I do have a circle of friends,” she says.

And Tanushree does utilise her spare time well. “I had a chance to take scientology courses. It was completely out of the ordinary. I did a meditation course in New York too. Meanwhile, when I am by myself in my apartment, I read the Bible. I am interested in self development, religion and spirituality,” she concludes.
