Experience the best of design at this event
Here’s something exciting for design enthusiasts in the Capital. One of India’s most awaited luxury design weeks, India Design ID 2019, is back and will be held at the NSIC Ground, Okhla, starting from February 12 to 15, 2019.
ID, an Ogaan initiative, presented by Asian Paints in its seventh successful year, brings together over 135 leading décor and home interiors brands from India and across the globe unveiling their latest collections.
This exhibition offers specially-curated displays and signature collections across furniture, lighting, home technology, and accessories from the most talked about local and international brands in the industry such as Klove, Beyond Design, K2 India, among others.
ID Symposium, a three-day action-packed event, is a great platform for Indian and global design luminaries to participate in interactive sessions. The panel includes international designers and artists such as Japanese contemporary artist and biochemistry researcher Yoko Shimizu, Pritzker Prizewinning architect Alejandro Aravena, and more.
Amongst the Indian designers on the panel are luxury menswear designer Raghavendra Rathore, interior designer Gauri Khan, prominent architects and art curators such as Sandeep Khosla, Brinda Somaya, and Bose Krishnamachari.
To celebrate good design coming out of India, ID Honours will honour the 50 best homes and the architects and designers behind them on February 13.
This year, the exhibition grounds will welcome new facade and stunning outdoor installations from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Aman Agarwal, Vibhor Sogani, Jaipur Rugs, Freedom Tree, Sunil Sethi, and more.
To unwind, you can enjoy food and drinks at the fair in collaboration with The Park Hotels with Jaipur-based designer Ayush Kasliwal at the Park Café and a new design café by Asian Paints in their playful Colour Trends pavilion.
In a special initiative to commemorate the 18th year of ELLE DECOR India, leading architects and designers such as Brinda Miller, Shonan Purie, and Niels Schoenfelder have designed 18 cubes, unique to each of their personal design, which were showcased as a collective installation.
