Mrunal Thakur is on cloud nine. Not only she is busy with a host of projects in Bollywood, such as Batla House with John Abraham and Super 30 with Hrithik Roshan, but her crossover project, Love Sonia, too, has been garnering appreciation ever since it released in the United Kingdom.

“I have recently got back from the London premiere. The response is fantastic. Some reviews are out, and it has been glowing. Everyone’s work has been appreciated; not just the film and acting, but the overall project. The fact that it released in London is big for all of us. It’s my first international film,” she says.

While Love Sonia released in India last year, Super 30 is slated to be her mainstream Bollywood debut alongside Hrithik Roshan. However, it ran into trouble after it’s director Vikas Bahl faced sexual harassment allegations. The release also got pushed to July from its original January 25 date.

Asked if such troubles affected her at any point, and Mrunal says, “In my mind, I totally believe in whatever is wrong, is wrong. If anybody has done some mistake, he/ she should be punished. It was a shock for me.”

Mrunal is quick to add that she didn’t have to face anything of this sort. “I didn’t experience that. I was very professional on set. It did bother me a lot… (it was) everybody’s hard work, it’s not one man’s hard work. But the fact that it’s taking some time (the film’s release) , maybe it’s for the good,” Mrunal explains.
