While a lot of TV actors have had a successful transition to films, it seems that Vivian Dsena is still waiting for that right time to take the plunge. And he even has a genre in mind that he wants to kick-start his film career with — biopics on famous personalities.

“I’ve grown up reading [books about] Sherlock Holmes and have been a huge fan. I sort of identify with his character. If an opportunity comes, I’d love to play his character on the big screen. It would be interesting because he used to change his looks to nab the wrong doers, which will give me a chance to play different characters,” he says.

That’s not all. Vivian has another person on his wish list who he’d love to portray on screen. “That’s [footballer] Sunil Chhetri. With such an interesting career graph, his story will be motivational. I love playing football, so I think I’d be able to do justice to the character,” he says.

However, the actor clarifies that he is “happy doing television” and is “not chasing Bollywood” as such. “If anything substantial happens in Bollywood, I’m open or else I’m happy with TV shows. I have no qualms about being called a TV star. Also, I haven’t got any substantial Bollywood offers yet,” says Vivian, who is quick to add that TV is giving him “ample scope for performance” in different kind of shows.

Asked him the kind of roles or characters he’d like to portray in films and he quips, “I can’t fantasise that I will do this or that kind of role. New age cinema is already booming and content is the king. Right content will choose me when the right time comes.”

Meanwhile, Vivian, who is busy with a daily soap, shares that he is also open to exploring digital space. In fact, he confesses watching content on the web platform. “Web is still unexplored territory for me and I can surely consider it,” he adds.
