Lauding the best in the realm of design

-

One of India’s most famous luxury design event, India Design ID 2019, concluded yesterday at the NSIC Grounds, Okhla. The 7th edition of ID, an Ogaan initiative, presented by Asian Paints, brought together over 135 leading décor and home interiors brands from India and across the globe to unveil their latest collections.

ID introduced a new vertical this year, called ID Honours, which celebrated 50 cutting-edge, one-of-a-kind residential design projects, and the architects and designers behind them. The aim of this initiative was to acknowledge and reach out to the large number of Indian architects and designers, who are doing noteworthy work across the country.

These projects were selected via a jury-based process, with a panel of esteemed judges such as Mohit Gujral (CEO of DLF), Sunu Aibara (Neterwala & Aibara), Sanjay Garg (Raw Mango) and Reena Kallat (independent artist).

The ID Honours culminated with an exclusive evening that witnessed prominent architects, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors and members of the design fraternity under one roof.

Some of the winners at the ID Honours were architects and interior designers Sandeep Khosla and Amaresh Anand, Gauri Khan, Ashiesh Shah, Shonan Purie Trehan, Ayaz Basrai and Arjun Malik. The winners were awarded a special trophy designed by the 2018 Elle Deco International Design Awards winner.
