Bollywood has been just one part of my life, says Gul Panag

Gul Panag might have never been among the quintessential ‘lead heroines’ in Bollywood, but has no regrets about how her career has turned out. The actor in fact says Bollywood has been just a part of her life. “I think it has been a great journey and I have no reasons to complain,” shares Gul, whose filmography includes films such as Dhoop (2003), Dor (2006), Manorama Six Feet Under (2007) and Ab Tak Chhappan 2 (2015).

A former beauty queen who represented India at the Miss Universe pageant, Gul is also a halfmarathon runner, an avid biker and certified pilot. A fitness advocate, she was also an Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Chandigarh for the 2014 general election.

How does she maintain her professional and personal life balance? “I think life presents many opportunities. You can either choose to take them all up or you can say I’m in a very comfortable zone and I don’t want to do anything. I feel I am one of those people who sees whichever opportunity comes my way. If it’s exciting, I take it with both hands,” she shares.

Mother to a one-year-old boy, Gul adds, “So, whether it’s an opportunity to drive Formula E car or Formula One car, I take that up. Apart from that, I am a licensed pilot. I think it depends on what is important to you. If you want to keep trying new things then you will always find time.”

Currently seen in a web series alongside Manoj Bajpayee, Gul is happy she decided to try something new. “I’m working in the digital format for the first time and I’m feeling truly grateful that I got the opportunity to be part of an amazing project,” she adds.
