Awell known name in the television circuit, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya enjoys a huge fan following but amidst all the love, the actor also has to deal with negativity on social media, on regular basis. From body shaming, being criticised for her fashion choices to nasty comments on her married life, Divyanka has seen it all. And she believes in giving it back to them only when necessary.

“Log social media par khul ke troll karte hain. They’re faceless people who think they have a right to say hurtful things. They don’t consider celebrities as human beings. They think we’re robots without any feelings,” rues Divyanka.

However, she prefers to focus on the good part instead that is she, too, can raise her voice against them. “I don’t feel victimised by trolls. Instead, I face them when I read rumours or tasteless comments about me. I speak up, I don’t sit coyly and emotional thinking mere ‘baare mein kyu likha’. Theek hai likha, ab mera jawab suno.”

Besides being a TV star, Divyanka, who has ventured into the web space recently with Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala, is also a doting wife. She and fellow actor Vivek Dahiya have been married since 2016. And the 34-yearold calls it a “blessing” that both of them belong to the same profession, as they help each other navigate through life in a better way.

“It helps a lot. We don’t owe any explanation to each other about either of us coming home late. We give each other ample space. He’s a very dedicated actor and he switches off completely, and I know I cannot disturb him then, and I respect that. And it’s the same with him. He understands why I am not taking his calls during shoot,” shares Divyanka.

And Vivek is also the reason why Divyanka has undergone a strict fitness regime. The actor says it’s her husband who motivated her to get in shape. “He always sees the better in me. He feels that I have the potential but I’m not exploring it to the fullest. He has been motivating me and training me as well. He even tells me what to eat and what not to,” she shares.

They [trolls] don’t consider celebrities as human beings. They think we’re robots without any feelings.
