Want to visit Kolkata for Durga Puja with Anugrah: Sayantani Ghosh
Actor Sayantani Ghosh can’t stop gushing as she talks about Anugrah Tiwari, the special man in her life. Though she has maintained that marriage is not on their mind right now, when we ask if there’s any pressure from the family to take the relationship to the next level, she says, “As I said earlier, Anugrah (who belongs to the fitness industry) and I don’t want to rush things. We’re in a happy space right now, and would like to take things as they come. Yes, I’d like to settle down [eventually] but that should happen organically. When that happens, I’d happily take the next step.”
Sayantani and Anugrah have been in a steady relationship the past six years. Though they took a break in between, they got back together earlier this year. In fact, Sayantani reveals that if things work out, she even plans to take Anugrah to her hometown, Kolkata, during the upcoming festive season, as he is keen on knowing more about Durga Puja celebration in the city.
“We’ve been planning to visit Kolkata for so long, but both of us usually get busy with our work and dates weren’t working out. This year, I might get a few days off around Durga Puja, and [hopefully] Anugrah can also take some time off from his schedule,” says the 35-year-old, who was recently seen in a play, alongside Rohit Roy.
So, will this visit be more like a formal introduction? “Both my parents have always been understanding and supportive, and have told me to follow my heart. So, I just want him to meet my family, friends, visit my school and most importantly check out how we celebrate Durga Puja. He’s very interested to go pandal hopping,” she says.
