Like any other person in the film industry, Shraddha Kapoor has also seen her fair share of failure and success. But the actor, riding high on the back-to-back successes of her films, says she does not believe in dwelling too much on her failures and rather focuses on what’s next, something she learned very early in her career.

“My first two films, Teen Patti (2010) and Luv Ka The End (2011), didn’t do well. I understood that things don’t always go your way. It is always up and down. I also understood that you can’t hold on to feeling disappointed for a long time because that will affect your next films. I move on. I make sure to focus on doing my best. That’s my priority,” she says, adding, “I live in such a bubble. It is a good thing and a bad thing.”

But Shraddha is not afraid of failing. “I did Haseena Parkar (2017) as I felt it was a different thing to try as an actor. You want all your films to do well but there is no guarantee. That does not mean you will stop trying,” shares the 32-year-old.

The actor is now one of the busiest in Bollywood – at one point this year she was juggling the shoots of three films Saaho, Chhichhore and Street Dancer 3D. Given her packed schedule, does she get time to stay updated on what her colleagues are up to?

“I am very clueless about everything else except for what I am doing, that has been the case for the longest time,” Shraddha asserts. As for her thoughts on the competition, she says, “I think there is enough for everyone. There are so many opportunities and there is so much work for everybody – both actors and filmmakers.”

While her last two films, Saaho and Chhichhore, released within a week of each other, Shraddha is not worried about overexposure. “That is something my fans will decide, I leave it to them,” she says.

“Saaho is my first pan-India film and I am over the moon with the love for it. I’m feeling that I’m on top of the world. Both films (Saaho and Chhichhore were very different from each other and I’m grateful to the audience for their love,” she adds.
