Why Rana Daggubati flew his cook from Hyderabad to London for shoot
RANA DAGGUBATI NEVER EXPECTED THAT A COMEDY FILM LIKE HOUSEFULL 4 WOULD REQUIRE HIM TO FOCUS ON A DIET AND EXERCISE REGIME
Rana Daggubati swears by leading a very disciplined routine that involves rigorous diet and heavy workouts. Even his past film roles that include projects such as the Baahubali films and The Ghazi Attack (2017), demanded that he maintains such a physique.
Though the 34-year-old wanted to take a break from it all, he would never have expected that an out-and-out comedy like Housefull 4, too, would require him to focus on a diet and exercise regime.
Rana’s next featuring an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh among others, is a reincarnation story and Rana had to bulk up for his role in the film.
The filmmakers had provided the actor with many options for his diet and gym facilities while shooting in London, but Rana had a different plan in mind. He especially flew his cook — the same person who helped him during his Baahubali days — from Hyderabad to London.
A source says, “The chef knows exactly what Rana’s diet is and helps him achieve his physique targets. That’s why he’s very dear to the actor. This time, during Housefull 4 shoot in London, the chef used to especially cook for Rana at the five-star hotel’s kitchen. Since he’s been working for Rana for many years now, he is well aware of Rana’s tastes and what food has the best effect on his body.”
The source adds, “This strategy of Rana worked very well for him, as he was able to achieve the beefed-up look he required for the film.”
Besides Housefull 4 , Rana will be also seen in multilingual film Haathi Mere Saathi, Bhuj: The Pride of India and few other Tamil and Telugu projects.
