I haven’t even fully scratched the surface, says Mithila

She seems to be the darling of the web platform, having done multiple projects. After giving remarkable performances in web projects such as Chopsticks, starring Abhay Deol, and the series Little Things, actor Mithila Palkar is now gearing up for her next big web film Tribhanga, in which she will be sharing the screen space with Kajol and Tanvi Azmi. She feels excited but nervous to be working with such seasoned actors in the film, which also marks the directorial debut of Renuka Shahane.

“I’m a little bit nervous but I’m looking forward to my time on set with them. There will be so much to learn,” says Mithila, who has films such as Katti Batti (2015) and Karwaan (2018) to her credit.

On what her role is going to be all about and how she is prepping for it, Mithila says, “I can’t share too much about my role at the moment because then I’ll have to give away a little bit of the story. But talking to Renuka (Shahane) Tai helps. I’ve always been a director’s actor and in this case, it helps that she is also the writer.”

In a short span of four years, Mithila has carved a niche for herself in the industry and has become a popular face in the digital space with her shows Girl In The City and Official Chukyagiri (both in 2016). “There has definitely been an immense growth in terms of opportunities, but I genuinely think I haven’t even fully scratched the surface yet. There is so much still left to explore and that’s what excites me. As long as I work on being a better artist and a human being than I was yesterday, I will hopefully keep growing in a positive direction,” Mithila shares.
