Ever since rising to fame with her role in TV show Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya has been working almost non-stop. The actor even returned to work right after her wedding to Vivek Dahiya in 2016 and is one of the busiest actors on television today.

“I’ve been like this since my childhood,” she says when asked how she manages her busy schedule. The 34-year-old adds, “I’m used to doing hard work. In fact, when I’m not working hard, I get cranky and annoyed as opposed to when I’m at work. I don’t mind being over occupied, sleep deprived and juggling a lot of things. Working a lot is my forte.”

Divyanka shares that even her family members prefer to see her busy with work. “My mom thinks if I don’t work, I turn into a monster (laughs). So, it keeps me sane,” she says.

But being a workaholic does not mean that Divyanka ignores her personal life. The actor believes in maintaining a perfect work-life balance. She says, “Ek bhi aap ne theek se handle nahi kiya toh the other one gets affected. If I’m unable to manage my personal life and if my in-laws or husband are not happy, then I will also not be able to work in peace. It is important to stay in touch with loved ones to understand their needs and be available to them.”

At the same time, the actor feels that it is also important to be detached from personal engagements and be committed to work when on the sets. “I have this on and off switch. If I don’t do it, then it

will be very difficult. I make a conscious effort to keep the balance right. I don’t take things for granted,” she shares.

But there is one thing which Divyanka wants to work on, and that’s cooking. “Acting kitna bhi karwa lo but I can’t cook at all. However, I would like to change that about myself,” she concludes.
