Happy Diwali, says Hollywood!

Ever thought Wolverine or Thor would wish you on Diwali? While Indians all over were busy celebratin­g the festival of lights, Hollywood celebs, too, took to social media to send Diwali wishes to their fans. X-Men star Hugh Jackman wrote in his Instagram story: “Happy Diwali to all who celebrate”. It goes without saying that his fans all over the world and in India, must have been touched by Hugh’s gesture!

Another Hollywood celebrity who created a stir on social media with his Diwali wishes is wrestlerac­tor-rapper John Cena. The 42-year-old, too, took to Instagram, and shared a special Diwali photo with the message, “Wish you Happy Diwali 2019”. The post has got over 75,000 likes. While some fans wished him back, like one who wrote, “Happy Diwali champ”, others praised him for celebratin­g communal diversity, commenting, “John. A man of culture.”

Cena even got an invitation to come to India and enjoy the festival. “Thanks man. Come to India and have some Diwali snacks as well,” said another comment.

Singer and Jonas Brothers member Nick Jonas was seen celebratin­g Diwali with wife, actor Priyanka Chopa Jonas, in Cabo, Mexico. Chris Hemsworth’s video from last year where he is seen wishing everyone Happy Diwali, with Randeep Hooda, got viral again. Hollywood actor, producer, writer and director Bill Duke also took to social media and posted Diwali wishes to south superstar Vijay and his latest film. He wrote, “@actorvijay. Happy upcoming #Diwali2019 from your colleagues Filmmakers in #Hollywood & @WE2Incubat­ors.”
