When his schedules get rough, Ssharad Malhotra takes refuge in music to unwind. Apart from listening to songs in genres such as hip hop, blues, classical, and jazz , the actor is taking keen interest in singing and is also learning the guitar. Videos of him singing and playing the instrument on social media have also been getting positive responses. One wonders whether the actor is planning to branch out to making music. And Ssharad does not negate the possibility.

“Through those videos on Instagram, I’m trying to understand the waters before taking the plunge. Music is an important part of my life. It’s a great stress buster for me too. After an entire day at work, when I’m travelling back home or in between shoots, I like listening to some good songs. Music refreshes and energises me completely. Somewhere, I felt like taking this love ahead professionally too. At least I want to give it a try to begin with,” says the 36year-old, known for his shows, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki.

Ssharad plans to start with a single, and would pursue his dream aggressively once he is well trained.

“I always wanted to learn an instrument. Earlier, I was thinking about learning the drums, but things did not work out. Last year, I walked into a shop that sells instruments and got myself a guitar. While on my way home, I decided to get trained in playing the instrument and found a teacher, who has been teaching me for a year now. I’m also thinking of getting a teacher to improve my vocal skills so that I’m able enough to pursue music as a profession,” adds Ssharad, whose favourite singers are Arijit Singh and Sonu Nigam.
