Never work for money: Himanshu Ashok Malhotra
For Himanshu Ashok Malhotra the New Year is filled with a lot of hope and excitement. The TV actor, who took a break of two years after his last show, Darr Sabko Lagta Hai, got over in 2016, only to return with Mariam Khan Reporting Live in 2018, took some time off again and worked on a religious show for a few months this year. Not ready to repeat himself on screen, Himanshu kept on refusing projects till something worthwhile came his way. Luckily for him, he got the chance to work in Shershaah, based on the life of Kargil martyr Captain Vikram Batra. The actor plays an army man in it. He also signed another Bollywood project and a TV show this year, which will release in ’20.
“I’m having a wonderful time shooting for Shershaah. There’s not much that I can talk about the film right now. From Sidharth [Malhotra], Kiara [Advani] to everyone else on the sets have been kind to me. It’s an important film to be a part of, especially for the story it narrates. The other Bollywood project is yet to be announced, once that’s done, I can probably talk about it. And we are prepping for the TV show right now. This will go on floors early next year,” says the actor.
Meanwhile, Himanshu has started working on his chat show and is ready with its new season. Also, his entrepreneurial enterprises have kept him occupied during his acting breaks. “Now that the year is coming to an end, I’m looking back with a lot of happiness to the time gone by. The three main learnings as far as career is concerned is never to work for money; work because you like to work and you enjoy your work. Also, it’s important to think less and be more proactive in life… Only health wise it was quite troublesome period for me, especially in the past four months, I’ve been suffering from an infection that created problems in my gut and stomach and I’m under constant medical observation,” he concludes.
