With shaadi season just around the corner, the perpetual question crossing every girl’s mind is what to wear — a sleeveless blouse or a full-sleeve one with the quintessential sari? And this season is all about the deep V — blouses, dresses, and bodysuits are all about this dangerously sexy trend. From celebrities wearing it to events, to models flaunting it on the runway, it’s been all the rage.
Different types of textures, fabrics, laces and embroideries can be added to the old-school V cut blouse to make it look contemporary. Take some inspiration from these stylish ladies and add an oomph factor to your V-neck blouse.
Designer Nachiket Barwe says, “This style is based on the old Rajput choli cut. The beauty of this blouse is that it works with a heavily embroidered as well as a plain linen sari.”
He adds, “Though the style won’t suit all body types, but if you are looking for a change in your wardrobe for this season, accessorise it with a layered neckpiece or a choker.”
Designer Khyati Nathwani says, “Such centre hollow designs give one the sultry look but in a graceful way by adding an extra oomph. Celebs are wearing it, too, as it accentuates the overall look.”
V-neck blouses are always in great demand for their elegant and sensuous look. Designer Gautam Gupta says, “These necks are here to stay as they not only look stylish, but also give lot of options for one to play with. With layers one can make them look more interesting, and they can also be accessorised with bow ties and neck pieces.”
This glamorous blouse is specially designed for women, who are confident about their bodies and wouldn’t hesitate to wear such designs. Shreya Jain, stylist, says, “It’s a great trend for people who want to flaunt their body, and it looks good on people with broad shoulders or a round face as it creates an illusion.”
