After becoming a household name with his TV shows Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Kavach, actor Vivek Dahiya is up to experiment with his love for writing and is utilising his free time penning different stories. While the 35-year-old doesn’t have any specific genre in mind to work on at this moment, he says that he is going to take it slow.

“I’ve already started writing something that has been on my mind for a very long time. I want to give it a proper go and not just let it be

a random idea lingering in my head,” Vivek continues, “I want to diversify myself a little more as an artiste. Writing is one thing; cinematography is another interest that I might explore later. I want to keep learning and experimenting with newer things.”

Whether it’s for TV, web, or films, Vivek doesn’t want to keep a platform or any specific genre in mind while writing. “Whether it is a fictional or non-fictional story or drawing comparisons, a cultural story or questioning something... the list is endless. I want to start writing them down and shape up the story around it,” says Vivek, who has spent over five years in TV industry.

Even when it comes to taking up new projects, he has made a conscious decision to take up only “meaningful work” such as his upcoming web series based on the 26/11 attack, where he plays the role of a commando.

“There is no greater feeling or excitement than doing something meaningful, something that gives you a great curve or immense learning. As long as the content is right and I feel convinced about, I’m excited to take it up,” the actor says.
