Style mile: Sonam aces her chic Paris Fashion Week looks
Be it attending a high-end social event or a regular film screening, she has always been synonymous with a classy fashion sense. Probably that’s why Sonam K Ahuja has had a special connect with global fashion biggies as well. In the latest instance, we have learnt that the actor was invited for various shows of different fashion designers at the recent Paris Fashion Week.
The Veere Di Wedding (2018) actor, finally, attended the much-talked-about shows of Elie Saab, Maison Valentino and Jean Paul Gaultier. And once again, her stunning looks from the haute couture shows made heads turn. “I feel there’s something special, magical, and dramatic about couture that goes very well with my personality,” says the actor with a smile.
What made the Paris Fashion Week sojourn even more special for Sonam was the fact that she attended the final haute couture show of Gaultier, the French designer who is often looked at as the fashion industry’s enfant terrible. For Sonam, the celebrated couturier will always be “extremely special.” As she puts it: “I was thrilled to witness the master, Jean Paul Gautier’s final couture show. He dressed me for my first major international red carpet in Cannes and will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Ask Sonam, after having aced so many looks and styles over the years, what does fashion mean to her, and she says: “Fashion is art, and it’s a reflection of the times we are in.”
Work-wise, after The Zoya Factor and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga last year, she is ye to make an announcement about her next film.
