Each show equals to one lifetime for Mohit Malik. And therefore, every time a show comes to an end, the actor can’t help but get emotional. He went through similar sentiments when Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala recently went off air.

“It’s not easy to let it go,” he says, “This wasn’t like any other show. The storyline, the characters, everything was different and interesting. So, you feel sad when a good show goes off air. Also, I think the story has lived its life and there’s no point dragging it further and make things boring.”

Mohit wasn’t happy when the makers were planning a leap in the narrative. “It was not planned initially. You can’t change Kullfi and Sikandar, and the journey of a daughter in search of her father. Since the audience enjoyed the show, the makers wanted to show a leap. But that would have done no good, I feel,” he explains.

Now that the show is over, the actor has interestingly started taking music lessons, inspired from his character he played, and he plans to continue with it. Once trained enough, Mohit might even think of taking this passion a step further later.

For now, the actor is taking break with his wife, actorentrepreneur Aditi Shirwaikar Malik. “I want to rejuvenate before getting back to work. So, I’m travelling for 10 days to Kerala. I needed this time. Working non-stop drains you out and this break is much-needed,” he says.

About his plans to resume work, Mohit shares he hasn’t thought or planned much. “There are offers from both TV and web. Let’s see what works out. I haven’t finalised anything yet,” he ends.
