The actor is clearly leaving no stone unturned to raise her graph post her recent stint on the big screen with films Judgementall Hai Kya and Prassthanam (both 2019).
“Last year set the bar much higher for me with two big films. Those who didn’t acknowledge me earlier, have started taking notice and have become friendly. They’d come up to me in award functions and show interest in working with me,” shares Amyra, hoping for an exciting year ahead.
Besides Bollywood films, the 26-year-old, who made her web debut in 2018 with the series, The Trip, has two more web series in the pipeline. “Tandav will leave you on the edge of the seat whereas another web project, which I’m not allowed to talk about, will have me in a de-glamorous look and is sure to surprise everyone,” says the actor, who loves working on thrillers.
She further says, “Every episode of Tandav is so hardhitting. It highlights the dark side of politics. It reflects a lot about Delhi University colleges and mainstream politics. There are so many people who take a lot of interest in such stories and are politically aware, and I’m sure this will draw a lot of audiences.”
The Rajma Chawal (2018) actor gives credit to the web platforms for giving a career boost to many actors, directors and writers. “OTT platforms have opened up many opportunities. The content is becoming better and gripping and you don’t have small names coming on board. From Kabir Khan directing The Forgotten Army to Ali Abaas Zafar directing Tandav, there is no stopping to it,” she says.
