Ameesha Patel’s marriage plans: I’m happily single, content with fans’ love

Ameesha Patel is too busy with her acting and production commitments to think about settling down with someone. Putting all the curiosity around her relationship status to rest, the actor clarifies she’s not getting hitched anytime soon and that she is “happily single” at the moment.

“No, marriage is not on my cards,” she reacts when asked if she’s thinking about it. “I have been single for the past 10 years now, and didn’t even have a man in my life all these years... And I’m not complaining at all. If something has to happen, it will happen in its own time, organically. I’m not running after anything,” says the Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000) actor.

Meanwhile, enjoying her single status, Ameesha is content “exploring the work opportunities”. She has got a few offers from the web and Bollywood that she is considering. Apart from her debut home production Desi Magic, in which she plays a double role, the actor also has plans to create content for the web.

“There is so much to do and no time for anything else... not even marriage,” says the actor, adding that while she might not have anyone special in her life, it’s not like there’s any dearth of suitors.

“My fans adore me and I continue to get marriage proposals from them every now and then,” she shares.

However, Ameesha asserts that there’s no pressure of any kind whatsoever that she needs to jump into things.

“There is no family pressure, and anyway, I don’t give into any kind of pressure. Because at the end of the day, you have to be happy and live your life. Meanwhile, I’m happy with my fans showering so much love on me. Someone wants to leave his property to me, someone wants to tie mangalsutra around my neck… pure unadulterated love,” she says.
