Anugrah and I would want to get married by the end of this year: Sayantani Ghosh
It has been more than six years that actor Sayantani Ghosh has been dating Anugrah Tiwari. The couple, who’s in a live-in relationship now, is ready to take the plunge and wants to settle down by the end of the year.
“Anugrah and I would want to be married by the end of the year if things go the way I want them to go. But I’m not setting a deadline. Even if that doesn’t happen this year, it’s not like the end of my life. But we would want to settle down this year,” Ghosh shares.
The 35-year-old actor says she made a conscious decision to settle into her career before deciding to get married. “I do believe in the institution of marriage. And I’ve always strived to be in my zone where I could feel settled in my career before getting married. And now I find myself in that phase and we both feel ready for this,” she says.
Having experienced both ups and downs in her life and career, Ghosh feels fortunate to have Tiwari, who works in the fitness industry, in her life and says that he has been like a rock in her life. “Anugrah is one person who has always been with me through thick and thin. He is the best companion I could have ever have. We’ve been a great support system to each other and there is a lot of respect, care, and concern for each other,” she says.
Sayantani’s parents, too, wanted her to tie the knot when she turned 30, but she says, “In the past two to three years, there is only one wish they have for me, which is to be happy. My father was okay with me not getting married but would always tell me that you would need a companion. You do need someone to share your life with. Now I’ve found the one and everything just feels right and I’m ready to take this forward.”
