Apopular face on television, Karishma Kotak, who has been hosting various sports related events including the Indian Premier League, says she is happy to be a part of various cricket leagues. And apart from hosting, Kotak has dabbled in acting too.

Having been a part of movies such as Mr Joe B Carvalho (2014), Love Affair (2015) and Freaky Ali (2016), Kotak, who was also a part of Sanjay Kapoor’s short film titled Bedhab, is currently shooting for a film co-starring Karan Singh Grover. Talking about her experience, she says, “Sanjay Kapoor is lovely and kind. It was great working with him. He saw me hosting a league and thought I was apt for the role. I didn’t have to give an audition as he was sure I would give my best. As for Karan Singh Grover, he has so much energy and is all hearts. I really enjoyed working with him. And as he is a great singer, he kept us entertained.”

Ask her about her experience in hosting the World Cup and the IPL, Kotak admits that it has been spectacular and “most fun”. And that she’s glad that “no two days are the same”, as she gets to travel a lot, meet new people, see the world, make new friends and broaden her horizons. But she is also aware of the lows of the profession as well.

“It can be one extreme to another. One minute you are shooting 50 days in a row with an entourage and the next month, you don’t know how things will be. It’s an insecure field and I am game to face it all. It’s something I always knew and dived in eyes wide open. But living away from my family and friends, alone in a different country wasn’t easy, initially. However, it soon became a home away from home,” she shares, adding, “Luckily, I have been a part of some interesting projets. Many new opportunities in films and web series have come my way which is great.”
