Actor Shraddha Kapoor is an animal lover, and in her latest Instagram post, highlights that the penalty for mistreating animals is a paltry ₹50. She urged fans to raise their voices against animal cruelty and help make laws more stringent. Wishing for a more compassionate, loving and empathetic world she wrote, “We are in 2020. It’s high time the penalties are stricter and the laws change. We need change NOW”.

As the Covid-19 crisis raged, many organisations came forward to help migrants. One of them was Hamdard Laboratories. ”We, as an organisation, realised we had to do something immediately for daily wage workers. We donated dry rations to around 18,000 people and 2,000 oxymeters all over India,” says Hamid Ahmed, CEO, Hamdard Laboratories (Foods Division). It also gave 2,500 masks, gloves and sanitisers each to the Delhi government Such compassionate endeavours make this world a better place.
