COLOURFUL SHYAM
Megha Saraf Gupta, a school teacher dressed her twoyear-old kid, Naksh Gupta, as Kanhaiya on the eve of Janmashtmi. Megha made sure that her child sent out the right message in this time of Covid-19, so she put a colourful mask matching his attire. “I thought let’s put up a mask on Kanhaji this time. Who better than god himself to spread the message of awareness.”
CREATING BEAUTIFUL ART
Our Chandigarh-based reader, Sara Goyal, learnt how to paint mandalas during this lockdown. The 16-year-old says, “Though the meaning of the word comes from the ancient past, mandala drawing and colouring can make you more patient.” In the middle of the mandala, she also painted a heart holding flowers, signifying that a positive heart is the key to happiness.

Where there is a will, there is a way! Purana Sunthari, a 25-year-old visually impaired woman from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, cracked the UPSC examination and secured 286th All India Rank. She is immensely grateful to her parents who read books to her day and night and also her friends, who helped her find study material and converted it to audio format for her to grasp concepts easily.
WORKING FOR HUMANITY
Kumar Gaurav, 42, a medical professor and consultant psychiatrist has been named as the top official at Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College and Hospital during the Covid-19 outbreak. Despite suffering from diabetes and hypertension, two severe risk factors, he took this responsibility to serve people. Hats off to the real heroes.
