Go for authentic diamonds
Diamonds are not only fascinating and attractive but also have an astrological significance. So, it is always better to gather full knowledge about them before picking one.
Sharing his insight, Rohan Sharma, managing director, RK Jewellers, says, “Diamonds are generally recommended for women. People are asked to wear diamonds majorly because of health issues. Another important thing about diamonds is that they do not have a negative impact.”
Adding that diamonds have their own astrological significance, he says, “Blue diamonds are considered of high significance but then they are very expensive. Any diamond which has a strong blue fluorescence will also serve the purpose of astrological significance.”
Advising that it is best to get a certificate of authenticity, Sharma further adds, “It is best to get an authenticity certificate for diamonds. One should be very careful with diamonds. There are also lab-grown diamonds, which are artificial diamonds.You can test it yourself too, by placing it on a white piece of paper, head down. A real diamond will always refract a lot of light and will shine. Cubic Zirconia and Moissanite are two popular simulants.”
The price of the diamonds is determined by its quality and origin. “Diamonds originate from Africa, Canada, Australia and South America. The starting price of a decent diamond is ₹2 lakh per carat,” he says.
As diamonds are affected by the planet Venus, he says,”It’s supposed to be worn on the index or ring finger of any hand on Tuesdays.”
