Six shots of life
There’s negativity all around but we will focus on the positivity. Our editor picks shots of life that bring a smile.
SUNSHINE ON YOUR SOUL
Tennis player Sania Mirza shared a beautiful picture of herself standing in daylight. She captioned it, “Be your own ”. All of us have a reservoir of power and motivation within us, all we need is to learn how to tap into it and manifest it. Look internally for strength and power.
SEEKING A KINDER WORLD
Actor Shruti Seth took to Instagram to ask one of the most fundamental questions which we all think about: “If you could write a note to your younger self, what would you say in only two words?” Shruti captioned it, “Be Kind (to yourself & others)” We all could do with some love, compassion and tenderness.
A TRUE HERO
Smashing all obstacles, Sunil Dawar from Madhya Pradesh, who just two years back was trapped in a life of penury as a child labourer, has emerged victorious champion by winning two gold medals in the 1500m and 5000m run at the Junior National Athletics Federation Cup, at Tatya Tope stadium, Bhopal.
FOR THE GREATER GOOD
In a unique endeavour to ensure safety of its passengers amid the pandemic, the Lucknow Metro has become the first metro project in the country to use ultraviolet (UV) rays to sanitise and disinfect train coaches. This method was first adopted by New York metro. We are sure now more people will be willing to travel via metro.
BEING THOUGHTFUL
Our reader, Col TBS Bedi (Retd) shared with us the story of Tajinder Kaur Sonia, a young social activist who has been instrumental in organising a musical band consisting of persons suffering from spinal injuries and those wheelchair bound. The objective is to bring happiness, positivity and cheerfulness in their lives.
WARM GLOW OF THE SUN
In a series of lovely pictures posted by actor Sara Ali Khan, she can be seen soaking up the winter sun against the backdrop of white columns and pretty lilac flowers. In her trademark style, she wittingly captioned it, “Sweater Days and Winter Haze. Sarso Ka Saag and Golden Rays.” Don’t we all just love winters?
