Karan donates wellness kits amid the pandemic
Actor Karan Kundrra is currently shooting for his upcoming project in Gujarat, amid the second wave of the pandemic. While he admits being concerned over the situation, the drive to help others, particularly those who’ve suffered massive losses, keeps him going.
“I’m in a position to help others and I’d like to do that. My mother is also worried and asked me why I was taking this risk, and I told her that whatever little help I can provide is going to be bigger than the risk I’m taking,” says the actor, adding, “Many people in our industry have not been working for almost a year now and they don’t have any money to feed their families and that’s something which really makes me sad.”
And to help the needy battle the ongoing health crisis, Kundrra has donated wellness kits through a foundation. “I’ve been trying to post stories on social media about requirements and requests related to Covid-19 but when you get so many messages on social media, it gets very difficult to figure out whether they are genuine or not. That’s why I wanted to contribute essentials directly though a right channel,” says the Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare (2019) actor.
His family, who has come down to India from the USA, has also been working towards helping patients. “My mother, sister and brother-inlaw are doctors. They are trying to ship oxygen concentrators to whoever is in need across India,” he concludes.
