PICTURE PERFECT

Ever seen a government-owned healthcare centre as pretty as this? This one in Kerala seems straight out of a postcard! Twitter user Ravi Nair shared an image of a primary health centre in Naripatta, Kozhikode — a jaw-droppingly beautiful building with lush green surroundings!

LOVE NEVER DIES

Late Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal’s wife, Nikita Kaul Dhoundiyal is ready to join the Indian Army as Lieutenant. Just six months after her husband’s martyrdom in the Pulwama attack in Kashmir, the 27-year-old filled the Short Service Commission form. She says she is making her late husband proud by serving the country.

HERE’S TO GIRL POWER!

A video of three school girls helping their teammate finish a race in a track-and-field event in New York’s Capital District (USA) is pulling at everyone’s heartstrings. The girl beat cancer and is on her way to recovery. When women stand up for each other, there’s no such thing as impossible!

TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR ROOTS

Nav Bhatia, a Canadian Sikh, has become the first fan to be inducted into the Hall of Fame by the National Basketball Association (NBA) for his loyalty to Toronto Raptors, and the white turban he’d wear to the games has been placed there. Bhatia shared that he had promised his mother to always wear his turban with pride!

WHAT A PROPOSAL!

Proposals are always special. And this one was notches higher on the memorability factor! Back from his military deployment but unable to come home due to the pandemic, a man in Illinois, USA, came to see his girlfriend in a fire engine and went down on one knee to propose, as onlookers cheered. Quite the story to tell your kids!

TAKING COVID-19 HEAD ON

Actor Tisca Chopra shared a video on Instagram titled, ‘When Covid-19 came home’. A few weeks ago, Chopra and her family tested positive for the virus. Meditation, bonding with family over games, and cooking together made dealing with it a little easier. She also helped others find beds and medicines through social media. Gratitude was the biggest learning, she says.
