Actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra took to Instagram to make an appeal to citizens and help Yuvaan who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy - SMA Type 1. She wrote about how Rupali Ramtekkar, his mother, is struggling to collect funds for her child, who suffers from the rare illness and needs Zolgensma, a gene therapy medicine from the USA costing $2.1 million (₹16 crore).

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas, in associatio­n with Give India, has made an earnest appeal to her fans to donate to her fundraiser #TogetherFo­rIndia that aims to help provide long-term humanitari­an aid to people impacted by Covid19. In a tweet, she mentioned that apart from procuring oxygen cylinders, the funds will support humanitari­an programmes such as cooked meals and weekly dry rations.

Prabhat Yadav, an ambulance driver from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, was ferrying Covid patients to the hospital when he received the news of the demise of his mother. However, he completed his shift and transferre­d a total of 15 patients to the hospital that day. His mother would have been proud!

Luna Perrone, a 10-year-old from Florida, USA, suffers from Ewing’s Sarcoma (a rare bone cancer). The little girl took the internet by storm when she posted a picture with profession­al golfer, Tiger Woods at a soccer park. In the picture, the golfer stands with the support of crutches as he is recovering from a car crash. Through the post, she shared how he told her to stay strong and inspire others.
