Six shots of life DIL SE RICH DILLI
We’re back to spreading positivity and chasing away the gloom. Our editor picks shots of life that bring a smile
HATS OFF TO SUPERHEROES
Actor Elli AvrRam paid a tribute to nurses working hard amid the pandemic, with a painting of a nurse wearing a mask and a crown. Expressing her gratitude to these superheroes, she says, “Cherish the people who put their life at risk, to save yours.”
WHEN DUTY CALLS
In a display of dedication to his duty, Badruddin, an ambulance driver in Assam, carried a Covid-19 patient on his bicycle to the ambulance parked 1km away, due to an unmotorable road. Just one of the many nameless, faceless essential workers who continue to serve society in these dark times. Words are not enough to thank them!
UNITED, WE CONQUER
This pandemic has unified humanity and brought individuals from all walks of life together. Rugby players from Delhi are providing Covid-19 relief materials — including oxygen cylinders, medicines, and other essential things — to people in need. Kudos to their efforts!
LOVE MAKES IT WORTHWHILE
A cute video posted online shows the reaction of a woman in the US, who had no idea that her fiancé was returning from deployment to give her a surprise. He pretended to be a waiter at a restaurant and served his clueless girlfriend, who almost jumped out of the chair as she realised what was happening. Anything for love!
A SHOT OF SAFETY
Singer Harshdeep Kaur took to Twitter to post a picture after being administered her first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. The new mum urged lactating mothers to get the shot as soon as possible. “It’s safe to go for the vaccine, so get it as soon as possible. Let’s fight this,” Kaur posted, allaying some fears of new mothers.
COMPASSION IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR
Actor Kriti Sanon reminded her followers to take care of their domestic help and other workers, as we are all in this fight against the virus together. She asked her fans to help those less privileged with the registration process and eventual vaccination, and to also clear their doubts. Let’s stand by each other, emotionally and financially.
