Hyderabad’s fashion heiress Sudha Reddy rocks the red
Carpet at 2021 Met Gala
Featuring a flurry of haute couture looks, the fashion elite gathered on Monday evening for the highly awaited Met Museum’s annual glossy red-carpet extravaganza. Joining the 400 by-invite only guest list, was Sudha Reddy, the wife of billionaire Megha Krishna Reddy, making an impressive debut at the soirée. Sporting a bespoke ensemble crafted by Falguni Shane Peacock, Chanel, Judith Leiber and Farah Ali Khan, Reddy’s over-the-top look was appreciated by many.
While personalities such as Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Isha Ambani have attended the event in the past, the entrepreneur becomes the first non-film luminary from Telangana and the only Indian celebrity to be invited to the event this year. She was seen hobnobbing with the likes of Anna Wintour, Lil Nas X, Donatella Versace, and Gigi Hadid at the event.
Sharing her experience Reddy says, “It was a gratifying outing as I got to converse with many notable personalities on possible socio-economic welfare collaborative synergies with the Sudha Reddy Foundation. I am extremely humbled to represent my city at this eclectic fashion parade.”
Hailed as one of India Inc’s most noteworthy philanthropists, Reddy spearheads the Sudha Reddy Foundation. She also oversees the businesses of Megha Group of Industries and TruJet Airlines and was the only Indian to be nominated for The Global Gift Empowerment Of Women Award.
