This was another surprise wedding. The actor met US-based Dr Shriram Nene through common friends. They got hitched on October 17, 1999, after which she settled in the US and took a break from films. Madhuri once said that they clicked as he was unaware of her star status, which she found refreshing. Their first date activity? Mountain biking (Madhuri’s first time trying it). The couple has two sons, Arin and Ryan. They shifted base to India in 2011, and live in Mumbai.

Actor R Madhavan met Sarita Birje, an aspiring air hostess then, long before he joined films. He used to conduct public speaking workshops in the early ’90s and met Birje when she attended one of his classes. She asked him out for a ‘thank you dinner’ and the rest, as they say, is history!
