Many actors choose to not disclose their relationship status, believing it might affect their work, but Arjun Bijlani never felt the need to hide his. The actor, who got married quite early on in his career (in 2013) and became a father in 2015, feels his marital status doesn’t affect his popularity.

“I don’t know what’s there to hide. If you love somebody, and if you are married, I really don’t think there’s anything to hide there. It doesn’t affect me. I’m happy about my marital status,” says Bijlani, who is married to actor and model Neha Swami Bijlani.

The 40-year-old feels that an actor’s personal life ought not to affect their professional life. “People see me onscreen playing different avatars and doing various things. That’s my professional space which has nothing to do with my personal life. I get work because of my capabilities and hard work and it has got nothing to do with my relationship status,” opines the Ishq Mein Marjawan actor, adding that fans appreciate actors irrespective of their marital status.

Love means different things to different people and for Bijlani, it is about unconditionally caring about someone. “Love is the most beautiful feeling in the world. It’s an emotion that everybody wants to feel to the core. I think love is more about giving than taking. So, I think giving unconditionally and feeling unconditionally for someone is love. And it’s quite a complex yet easy thing at the same time, which you will understand if you are truly in love,” Bijlani explains.
