Country witnessed democracy only after Modi became PM: Joshi attacks Congress
JAIPUR/BARMER: The state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan CP Joshi on Thursday hit out at Congress saying that the country witnessed democracy only after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014 and it was all “nepotism before him”.
“Why do people have an immense faith for Modi? The reason is our country that used to follow the world before 2014 is now being followed by the entire world only because of Modi. It was only terrorism before him which turned into eternal peace in the last 10 years. It was divisive politics and nepotism before Modi... unity and democracy after him,” said Joshi addressing a rally in support of party’s Udaipur candidate Mannalal Rawat.
Taking a dig at the Congress, he said, “The people who were given ticket from the Congress high-command are now denying it. It only happens when the Prime Minister of a country adores the people as one family which Congress failed to do. Since Independence, Congress became the king of the country while Modi has become your servant in the last 10 years.”
He said that Modi is putting all his effort to make India reach the top of the world in the economic sector by 2047.
“Modi’s guarantee to make India thrid biggest economy in the next few years is the one that worked in state assembly polls. It will work in Lok Sabha polls as well. People have faith in all his guarantees. BJP will win all the 25 seats in Rajasthan based on his guarantees,” he said.
Meanwhile, addressing the nomination rally of BJP candidate Kailash Choudhary in Barmer, minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said, “I don’t see the face of Kailash Choudhary, I see Kashi, I see Ram Mandir and I see Modi in his face.”
Rathore said that if you want to see strong and developed India, you have to know the power of your vote and it should be go to the right people.
Slamming Joshi for his remarks, the Congress spokesperson Swarnim Chaturvedi said, “The BJP also has slew of leaders who denied contesting the elections. Their sitting MP also joined Congress. It happens only when there is no democracy in a party. There used to be welfare policies for the people during the Congress government. Now, Modi’s policy is only helping a few industrialists.”
