JHARKHAND ROUTE TO RAJYA SABHA
The CBI probe into businessman R.K. Agrawal’s associate, who was caught with Rs 2.15 crore on March 30, led to the countermanding of Rajya Sabha polls in Jharkhand. That has, for now, closed the much-in-demand K.D. Singh route to political respectability. Unlike in the past, independents have stayed away from the ongoing Rajya Sabha poll process. CBI is also probing the Rajya Sabha poll held in Jharkhand in 2010, which has led Congress Mla chand-rashekhar Dubey to allege that a Rajya Sabha MP from his party offered Rs 25 lakh as bribe to legislators then. Ahem. But how does he know?
