Seeking security for his family, Karmani has made Ahmedabad his home. Originally from Mir Khas, Sindh, in February he got a visa after three years of trying. “If the visa rules are eased, a large number of Hindus would shift to India. Hindus in Sindh are not safe, especially the girls. Their future is doomed in Pakistan. It was time for me to say goodbye.”
