The Jewel Within

The creations of de Grisogono evoke an Eden that springs from Fawaz Gruosi’s mind. Gruosi’s innovative streak comes through in his unique combination of gemstones and extravagant use of colours. Gruosi works with matching tones, such as black diamonds against blackened gold, but he also breaks traditional colour codes by mixing greens, reds and blues, yellows and greens, browns and aquamarines. The beauty of each de Grisogono creation is the result of countless hours of high-precision craftsmanship carried out by the brand’s goldsmiths, gemsetters and craftsmen, who take the time they need to translate the designs into the most sublime creations. Look at the pink gold necklace with 1088 black Indian diamonds and 625 multi-coloured Thai sapphire briolettes. A grid is created by gold threads between the main structure set with the black diamonds to which the briolettes are then individually attached. The earrings shaped like two blossoming peony petals of 53 briolette-cut amethysts, 42 pink quartz and 142 pink sapphires delicately intertwine on white gold set with 338 white diamonds. All part of de Grisogno’s quest for excellence, and of course, there are no limits on the journey to the final masterpiece which is always an innovation.
