Her Majesty’s secret servant’s iconic timepiece receives the re-imagination treatment by Omega’s craftsmen to celebrate 50 years of Bond on the silver screen. The innovative update of the Seamaster Diver 300m James Bond watch worn by 007 since Golden Eye. Just like any indispensable gadget from Q’s lab the Seamaster is replete with extra features. A special helium escape valve allows helium atoms to escape during decompression, particularly necessary for professional divers operating from diving bells. There are two versions of the James Bond 007 50th Anniversary collector’s piece. The 41 mm version has 11 applied indexes; the 36.25 mm watch has ten with a diamond index at the 7 o’clock position, a reminder that this watch was created to honour 007. The indexes are coated with white SuperLuminova with a blue emission, allowing ease of reading in all light conditions. Both versions feature Omega’s calibre 2507 self-winding movement fitted with the incredible co-axial escapement that has driven a revolution in mechanical watchmaking. While some of the advanced features will appeal particularly to divers, the James Bond 007 50th anniversary collector’s piece will prove irresistible to fans of 007 and to those interested in distinctive timepieces.
