Bring out the as­pir­ing as­tronomer in your chil­dren with ama­teur te­le­scopes and space­ship mod­els. City-based ama­teur astronomers’ group Akash­mi­tra has fun day-long astron­omy classes for chil­dren that teach them how to make te­le­scopes with re­frac­tors and mod­els of ce­les­tial bod­ies. The club will even play short films on phe­nom­ena like eclipses and sol­stices to ex­plain the de­vel­op­ments in the skies.
