1 HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
If working in the hospitality industry has always been your dream, then it is time to fulfil it. UEI Global Institute, Pan India, has launched a three- year bachelor in hospitality management with international specialisation. The programme provides an opportunity to gain lateral entry into ( Hons) degree programmes in hospitality in universities across the world. Students will also earn two international certificates, accredited by The Hotelschool, The Hague, Netherlands. Admission to the degree programme will end in July and 60 select students will be given a seat in any of the chosen 13 centres across the country. Students will go through group discussions and personal interviews in order to be selected for admission into the programme. Course graduates can expect to earn anything between 15,000 and 25,000 per month.

The Indian financial services industry has a lot of scope of growing exponentially. Further, financial institutions are also revamping their operational infrastructure and business delivery models. The course will admit 72 students and admission is open till June, 2012. The course apart from including CFA ( USA) curriculum Level I and II, industry integrated training, excel modelling, knowledge of stock market, real estate and banking operations, also has an inbuilt management education module. 3 INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT
The Bengal Institute of Business Studies, Kolkata, has started a two- year international management programme. The course will admit 120 applicants based on their CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ BIBSAT and a personal interview. The course is targeted at undergraduates who are either appearing in their final examinations and have a valid CAT score. Candidates without a score will have to appear for BIBSAT. The education portal Edukart has launched online programmes for working professionals in retail management. The duration of this online learning course is 30 to 50 hours for which the validity of the courses is six months. Interested applicants can simply log on to www. edukart. com and register by entering basic details. This programme will be an added advantage to those interested in the field of retail management, however, it is not a diploma or a degree course.

5 FASHION DESIGNING
The Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi, has started admission for its bachelor of fashion design programme. The four- year course will admit 60 students in each of its four campuses in Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai and Noida. Apart from the core curriculum on design, students will also be taught one foreign language. Students will be taught the application of design and aesthetics or natural beauty to clothing and accessories. The screening process includes a general proficiency test, design aptitude test, situational test and an individual interview. Applicants with 50 per cent in 10+ 2 are eligible for the programme. Graduates can work as designers, technical designers, pattern makers, illustrator, stylist, fashion journalist and fashion buyer to name a few and earn up to 5lakh per annum.
