CONTEMPORARY ART AND CRAFT STORE
Established almost 50 years ago, Contemporary Arts and Crafts ( CAC) is considered to be Mumbai’s iconic shop for ethnic and classy home décor and accessory products.
The store reopened earlier this year at a new location in a new avatar.
Traditional designs meet contemporary ones at this 3000 sq ft store, which stocks products to suit the tastes of the modern Mumbaikar.
From Rajasthan to Maharashtra and Kerala to Orissa, CAC has a wide range of products from all across the country. Among some of the highly aesthetic offerings here are framed Gond paintings, papier- mâché toys from Orissa, and jigsaw puzzles with Pattachitra, Madhubani and Kalamkari patterns from Pondicherry.
Explore the quirky side of the store with products like jalebi kadhais made into funky wall hangings, cat- shaped figurines, horse- shaped betel nut cutters, a brass chapati box, frog- shaped lamp holders and hen- shaped watering cans.
