Goswami has travelled across the world, thanks to his job in the merchant navy, with wife of 36 years, Savita. Upon retirement, the couple tried to settle down in Gurgaon, Delhi, Mumbai and Goa, but were put off by the pollution, crowds and traffic. They moved into Ashiana’s Utsav in Lavasa in January 2013. Now Goswami writes film scripts, while Savita watches soaps.“Old people lack company and occupation,” says Goswami.“Give them both and they’ll live longer.”
